Hello,

 

Welcome to Coleman Art Center. I'm Brian Coleman, an artist and the owner of Coleman Art Center, founded in 2026. My kids Maverick, now 11 and Gracen, now 8 have been in the art studio with me since babies. They are the inspiration behind turning my art studio into an Art Center to share with more kids. And also, my mom who gave me a space in the 80s next to our washer and dryer to create when I wanted.

 

My daughter Gracen said one day, “when I’m in your studio, it’s the best day of my life”. I want that for more kids, a space to create and to see their eyes light up after they created something! Coleman Art Center is a peaceful atmosphere to learn, grow and explore with different materials. It’s more than an art class. A simple craft can teach a kid to overcome challenges which will strengthen innovation skills. They will gain diverse perspectives through different art forms. Learn to take risks and trust their choices building confidence that will carry into adulthood. I've seen it through the years in the art studio with my kids.

 

Before Mav and Gracen, I studied Graphic Design in college, after many years as a graphic designer and filming and editing with a small production company, I started painting full time as a working artist in 2014. Some private collections of my paintings include 1250 Broadway, NYC, Greystar International Headquarters, London, England, The Urban Electric Co., Charleston, South Carolina, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia. A Rug collaboration with Knots Rugs, London, England and some publications of my work include Architectural Digest, The World of Interiors, Elle Decoration and House & Home Magazine.

 

 We are excited and look forward to sharing the center with you! As we grow, we will offer more class times and days. Join us for some fun!
